Good Morning,
Thanks for the note and this opportunity to
serve you.
Before sending you a firm , priced, delivered
quote; we'll need your last name, hometown, state and
zip code information. Mfg. requirement.
You wrote->
I am considering purchasing a Kubota for my property
soon.
I have 92 acres but only plan on maintaining about 10 or
so acres.
The rest will be in pine forest.
sc - OK! Sounds Great.
I have limited experience on tractors so I would like a
tractor that is simple to operate and difficult to
overturn.
sc - I understand.
What HP recommendations and what model (L, M, etc) would
be best
sc - We'll need more information from you before advising. With the bucket, I will probably need 4wd, bucket on front, bush hog/mower I may need a box blade if that is best for smoothing gravel driveway.
sc - Ok
I will be maintaining a gravel drive of about 1/3 mile
and keeping the ditches near the drainpipes under the
road cleaned out.
I have been told with the bucket to be sure and get 4wd
and also that I probably want the R4 tires with the
ballast/antifreeze?
I don't want to tear up the land but I will need some
traction.
sc - I understand.
Will be mowing some 2/3 slope and 1/3 flat land, so I
want something that will be hard to turn over if I make
an error.
sc - Ok
thanks for any info or suggestions.
sc - We are happy to serve you.
Ok, let's get started...
List of items you mentioned->
Tractor, Hst transmission for easy to operate
and safe
R4 tires with ballast
ROPS (not cab)
LA___ Front End Loader with grill guard and
valve installed
4n1 Loader bucket with valve (will increase cost
approx $2K)
Rear Box Scraper
Rear Rotary Cutter (for driveway)
Rear Scraper Blade with tilt and offset (for
ditches)
My questions. ->
Your complete name and address?
Your phone number?
Will you be paying cash or using Kubota finance
options?
Will female or children be operating the
tractor?
Comments.
With 80 acres of trees, you'll probably want a
tractor larger than the BX and B models, so you'll have
taller tires (allowing for more tractor under clearance
and better visibility from the seat.
This will lead us the L series model tractors.
The M series will probably be larger than you'd
want in the woods, on the slopes and in any tight
places.
The L3400 and L4400 hst tractors are the two
standard L's to consider.
Standard series are basic price-point units.
Their same hp size units in the Deluxe Tractors
with several user friendly features and stronger hydr.
systems and loaders will be the L3540, and then to the
L4240.
Because you have lots of slopes, I recommend
than you get at least 34 hp to help power the HST
transmission.
With the L3400 and L3540 you can use 5 foot
rotary cutter, 5 box scraper and 5 of 6 foot rear
scrapers.
With the L4400 and L4240 you can use 6 foot
rotary cutter, 6 box scraper and 6 foot rear scrapers.
The loaders on the deluxe tractors will lift 300
to 500 lbs more weight than the loaders on the std.
tractors.
Because you want a 4n1 loader bucket (which are
heavier than std loader buckets). This extra weight
will absorb more loader lift capacity. This factor
helps lead us to the larger models and maybe the deluxe
models.
Finally, your budget restrictions, may allow us
to ho to larger hp units for even more efficiency and
less time-lines to complete work. Once I have your
response, we can offer a menu of models and you can
choose based on good information.
We're looking forward to your response.
Best wishes,
