Let’s talk about the new HST PLUS transmissions now included with the Grand L tractors.  The older HSTs were absolutely great and have a long record of high performance and no service problems.

The news! “The HST plus transmission on the GRAND L tractors is so much better than the old HSTs.” 

After operating the tractor, within the first few minutes you love the Plus’ features. First, you’ll notice that as you increase the down pressure on the direction pedal; the engine RPMS will automatically increase as well.  This will give you more “instant power”. (AUTO ADVANCE THROTTLE) You can set the HST MODE faster or slower to tell the transmission how quickly you want it to increase power to prevent stalling in tough working conditions.  Then you notice that you now have twice as many speed range selections.  Yes now six ranges instead of three.  Just move the little lever back and forth to be in low range or high range of the main speed selection you made. (Hi-Lo SELECTOR)  All this adds up to a great tractor driving/operating experience.  It is truly as “user friendly” as a tractor can be.  I hope you buy a new Grand L from Carver Equipment.  We have a deal just waiting for YOU.

 Hi-Low selector. provides 2 speeds in Low, Medium & High Ranges. total of 6 speeds. Can be done manually or automatically with the HST Mode Control feature.

  

HST Mode Control. Operator can choose between 3 options

Manual Mode. automatic features are not engaged

Stall Guard Mode.  transmission will sense engine burden and prevent it from stalling

Stall Guard & Auto H-DS Mode. In addition to Stall Guard, provides automatic Hi/Low shifting as needed to maintain constant torque.   

 

HST Response Control… allows operator to vary the response of the HST operation. Many operators prefer a fast response when using the loader and slower response for other tasks. 

Auto Throttle Advance. when engaged, the engine throttle is linked to the hydrastatic pedal. Especially useful when moving between locations or when towing a trailer.
